Creator Tools

The Creator Tools are a web platform for building your own tabletop RPG or modifying an existing one in the Rollplay app.
Define your game's attributes, design character sheet layouts, configure dice rolling mechanics, and set up automated effects, all without writing code.
Our goal is to let you build your own character sheet app for any game system and share it with your players.

Dashboard

Opening a game takes you to its Dashboard, which lists every step of building the game on the left:

Each step is marked as done, current, or optional. The middle of the Dashboard suggests the next step to take and shows how much of your game has been filled in.

A game can be played once the Overview page of its Character Sheet is configured. Until then, Try it yourself and Share are disabled.

Presentation

This is what players see before choosing your game. Everything is edited directly on the preview:

  • Name of the game
  • Description: a short text shown under the name. Describe the setting, the tone, or what makes your rules different.
  • Logo: the square icon that represents your game in lists. Transparent backgrounds are kept.
  • Banner: the wide image at the top of your game's page, shown at 16:9.
  • Links to your website and communities, so players can follow your game.
  • Tags that help players find your game when searching, such as "fantasy" or "rules light".
