Pick a Variant

The Pick a Variant effect replaces the character's current content (Class, Race, Feat, etc.) with one of its Variants — commonly used for subclass selection.

How it works

When the effect is triggered, Rollplay looks up all available Variants for the target at execution time:

• No Variants found — the effect does nothing
• One Variant found — it is applied automatically
• Multiple Variants found — the Player is prompted to choose which Variant to apply

The selected Variant replaces the base content on the character. Any effects from the base content are carried over as if applied by the Variant instead.
